Podcast Production in Japan — A Message from the Founder
Hi, I’m Takuya Takeuchi, founder of tag LLC — a creative studio based in Japan specializing in podcast and audio production.
Starting my career as a radio DJ for FM802, one of Osaka’s leading stations, I’ve spent over a decade working across the audio landscape — from hosting and directing to recording, editing, and producing content. I’ve had the privilege of interviewing artists such as Utada Hikaru, NewJeans, The 1975, Shawn Mendes, Norah Jones, Beck, The Chemical Brothers, and many others, both backstage at major festivals and in studio settings.
In 2019, I shifted my focus from traditional radio to podcasting. Since then, I’ve led numerous projects ranging from branded content and corporate podcasts to Spotify’s official program New Music Wednesday Podcast Edition, where I serve as the host and producer.
